SUMMER 2021 – The Merritt Otters are proud to introduce our coaching staff for Summer 2021. We are excited to have great coaching for all ages this summer!

Head Coach: Julia Rosec

Hello everyone! My name is Julia Rosec and I will be your head coach for the summer! I have been coaching with both winter and summer clubs across the Fraser Valley for about 10 years. Having the opportunity to start coaching at such a young age, it really gave me an advantage on the pool deck. I take pride in having more experience than most my age, and am very comfortable coaching all ages and levels. I think my most rewarding coaching moment was when one of my Senior B swimmers went from 6th place to 3rd place in the finals at Regionals one year. Seeing her face glow after realizing she made Provincials is a memory I’ll never forget. As far as my own swimming goes, I swam from the ages of 10-14 and 16-17, taking a 2 year break to play high performance water polo. My favourite memory of swimming is attending the BC Summer Games in 2012.
I look forward to meeting each and every one of you this summer!

Assistant Coach (and so much more!) Rahul Chhabra

Hello everyone, my name is Rahul Chhabra. First off, I am very excited to be back again with the team this summer! I was born and raised in Merritt and had the pleasure to swim with the Otters for over 8 years. I have been coaching for over six years but, officially started coaching for the Otters three years ago. The past two winters I coached winter maintenance for the Otters, and the summer seasons for the Otters. I am currently finishing off. my fourth year of school through Lethbridge College. I am taken Criminal Justice to eventually get into law enforcement. I am looking forward to working with everyone this summer.
